WILTSHIRE WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
Natural & Cinematic Wedding Videography in Wiltshire
Welcome to Gardner Films. I'm Nigel, a wedding videographer creating natural, cinematic wedding films for couples across Wiltshire and beyond.
From the rolling Wiltshire countryside to beautiful country estates, historic venues and celebrations in Salisbury, Marlborough, Devizes, Trowbridge and the surrounding areas, I focus on capturing your wedding as it actually happens - naturally, quietly and without taking you away from your guests.
This is me!
A huge congratulations on your engagement!
Planning a wedding can be exciting, but choosing the right suppliers can sometimes feel like another job in itself.
My approach to wedding videography is deliberately simple. I want you to enjoy your day while I quietly capture the moments, people and atmosphere that make it yours.
Based in the South West, I film weddings throughout Wiltshire, from Salisbury and Marlborough to Devizes, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon and the surrounding countryside, while also regularly travelling further afield.
A little about me…
To be honest, I had no idea wedding videography was even a thing until a friend mentioned it! I’ve always loved cinema though, so discovering the opportunity to create cinematic, documentary-style wedding films across the beautiful Wiltshire countryside was a huge lightbulb moment!
I’m getting married in 2027, so I’m currently going through wedding planning myself (though, to be honest, it’s my fiancée Rose who’s doing all the heavy lifting).
You can take a look at some of the weddings I’ve filmed around Wiltshire below, along with my packages. Or, if you’d rather chat first, get in touch here :)
Wiltshire Wedding Videographer
I've been fortunate to film weddings at some beautiful venues across the South West, including Wick Bottom Barn in Wiltshire, with celebrations ranging from intimate winter weddings to large summer celebrations.
I've also filmed at venues across the surrounding counties, giving me experience of all kinds of wedding settings, from rustic barns and country estates to more traditional wedding venues.
Every wedding is different, and that's what makes filming them so enjoyable. I'm interested in the people, the atmosphere and all the little moments that make your day unmistakably yours.

MY APPROACH
Wonderful Wiltshire Wedding Venues
It’s not lost on me that Wiltshire is a truly beautiful place to film weddings. I’ve had the privilege of capturing a wedding at Wick Bottom Barn, and I’m looking forward to filming more celebrations across the county.
What makes filming in Wiltshire so special goes far beyond the venues themselves. The rolling countryside, historic villages, winding country lanes and wide-open landscapes provide a beautiful backdrop at every turn, helping create wedding films that feel both timeless and deeply personal.
From the countryside around Salisbury and Marlborough to the historic towns of Devizes and Trowbridge, Wiltshire offers a wonderfully varied setting for a wedding. Combined with the amazing couples I get to work with, the result is a wedding film full of genuine atmosphere, emotion and unforgettable moments.
Wedding Videography Style
Planning your Wiltshire wedding and searching for the right videographer can feel overwhelming – but you’re already in the right place.
My approach is relaxed, natural and documentary-led. I won’t spend the day staging moments or pulling you away from your guests. Instead, I focus on capturing everything as it genuinely happens – the atmosphere, the emotion, and all the little moments you might miss in the moment.
Wedding Videography Gear
I film using professional but low-profile equipment, which allows me to blend into the day without becoming a distraction. Most couples tell me they barely noticed the cameras were there.
A pre-wedding chat
Before the wedding, we’ll also have a relaxed chat to go through your plans, get to know each other properly, and make sure the films feel personal to you rather than formulaic.
If you'd like to see how this all comes together, take a look through my wedding film gallery to watch some recent films.

FAQ
-
It's best to book 6-12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding seasons. This ensures availability and allows me to book travel with less friction.
-
Some of my favourite wedding venues in Wiltshire include Wick Bottom Barn, for its relaxed rustic feel, Syrencot for its beautiful country-estate setting, and Larmer Tree Gardens for something a little different. Wiltshire has a fantastic mix of barns, country houses and beautiful countryside settings, making it a brilliant place to get married.
-
I cover weddings up to around 2 hours from my base in Stroud, Gloucestershire. After that, I usually require a hotel stay to minimise the risk of either getting stuck in traffic, or driving tired.
-
I usually arrive 2-3 hours before the ceremony to capture lots of the getting ready bits. I'll then stick around after your first dance for that first wave of dancing, before leaving you to enjoy your party!
-
Absolutely! I love using drone footage to showcase the beauty of your wedding location. As long as conditions allow - both legally and weather-wise. I’ll always aim to include stunning aerial shots to add an extra touch to your wedding film.
-
I have a strong emphasis on story-telling in my films, so I thread the ceremony and speeches throughout, including bits in the background of the film to tell the story of you and your day. See my portfolio for some examples.
