COTSWOLDS WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

Cinematic & Natural Wedding Videography in the Cotswolds

H E L L O !

Welcome to Gardner Films! I’m Nigel and I’m a Cotswolds wedding videographer based Stroud, Gloucestershire - a town steeped in Cotswolds history (also, it is literally quite steep - there are so many hills!)

Thank you for visiting my website! This ‘Cotswolds Wedding Videographer’ page is specifically tailored towards couples getting married in The Cotswolds. Everything you read and see here is authentic. I have crafted this page with care and attention to you and your Cotswolds Wedding Day :)

This is me!

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S

A huge congratulations on your engagement!

I hope you’re enjoying wedding planning so far. Booking a wedding videographer is usually something couples come to a bit later - and I completely get that. Just a quick note though: my diary for 2026 and 2027 is filling up, so it’s always a good idea to get in touch sooner rather than later if you’re interested.

A Little About Me

To be honest, I had no idea wedding videography was even a thing until a friend mentioned it! I’ve always loved cinema though, so discovering the opportunity to create cinematic, documentary-style wedding films across the Cotswolds - it was a huge lightbulb moment!

I’m getting married in 2027, so I’m currently going through wedding planning myself (though to be honest, it’s my fiancee Rose who’s doing all the heavy lifting)

You can take a look at some of the weddings I’ve filmed around the Cotswolds below, along with my packages. Or, if you’d rather chat first, get in touch here :)

Gorgeous Cotswolds Wedding Venues

It’s not lost on me that The Cotswolds is truly an extraordinary place to film weddings…

Recently, I’ve had the privilege of capturing weddings at some incredible venues including Owlpen Manor, De Vere Tortworth Court, The Swan Hotel, and (fun fact) I was the first person ever to film at Stone Barn - for my sister's wedding!

What makes filming in the Cotswolds so special goes far beyond the venues themselves. The rolling hills, quiet country lanes, golden stone villages and sweeping landscapes provide a cinematic backdrop at every turn, helping create wedding films that feel both timeless and deeply personal.

Combined with the amazing couples I get to work with, the result is a wedding film full of genuine atmosphere, emotion and unforgettable moments.

MY APPROACH

WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY STYLE

Planning your Cotswolds wedding and searching for the right videographer can feel overwhelming - but you’re already in the right place.

My approach is relaxed, natural and documentary-led. I won’t spend the day staging moments or pulling you away from your guests. Instead, I focus on capturing everything as it genuinely happens - the atmosphere, the emotion, and all the little moments you might miss in the moment.

WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY GEAR

I film using professional but low-profile equipment, which allows me to blend into the day without becoming a distraction. Most couples tell me they barely noticed the cameras were there.

A PRE-WEDDING CHAT

Before the wedding, we’ll also have a relaxed chat to go through your plans, get to know each other properly, and make sure the films feel personal to you rather than formulaic.

If you'd like to see how this all comes together, take a look through my wedding film gallery to watch some recent films.

FAQs

Where and When:

How far in advance should we book a wedding videographer?

It's best to book 6-12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding seasons. This ensures availability and allows me to book travel with less friction.

What are the best wedding venues in Gloucestershire?

Some of my favourite venues in Gloucestershire include Stone Barn, for that modern barn feel, Kingscote Barn for the epic rolling hills or Matara for something a little different.

Travel and Logistics:

Is there any extra travel cost to pay?

I cover weddings up to around 2 hours from my base in Stroud, Gloucestershire. After that, I usually require a hotel stay to minimise the risk of either getting stuck in traffic, or driving tired.

When do you leave and arrive for a wedding?

I usually arrive 2-3 hours before the ceremony to capture lots of the getting ready bits. I'll then stick around after your first dance for that first wave of dancing, before leaving you to enjoy your party!

Videography and Editing:

Do you use drone footage for Cotswold weddings?

Absolutely! I love using drone footage to showcase the beauty of your wedding location. As long as conditions allow - both legally and weather-wise. I’ll always aim to include stunning aerial shots to add an extra touch to your wedding film.

How do you incorporate the ceremony & speeches into the film?

I have a strong emphasis on story-telling in my films, so I thread the ceremony and speeches throughout, including bits in the background of the film to tell the story of you and your day. See my portfolio for some examples.

Booking and Payment:

How do we book you for our wedding videography?

1. Fill out my contact formwith your wedding details.
2. I'll schedule a call to get to know each other and discuss your vision.
3. A signed contract and 10% deposit will secure your booking.

When will payments be due?

After the 10% deposit, the remaining balance is due 1 month before the big day.
