Welcome to Gardner Films. I'm Nigel, a wedding videographer based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, creating natural, cinematic wedding films for couples across Monmouthshire and South Wales.
From the rolling countryside around Monmouth and Abergavenny to the historic towns of Usk and Chepstow, I film weddings across Monmouthshire's beautiful country estates, barns and historic venues. My approach is natural, unobtrusive and focused on capturing your wedding day as it actually happens - the atmosphere, emotions and moments you might otherwise miss.

Planning a wedding should be exciting, but finding the right suppliers can sometimes feel like another job in itself.
My approach to wedding videography is deliberately simple. I want you to enjoy your day while I quietly capture the moments, people and atmosphere that make it yours.
Based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, I'm ideally placed for weddings throughout Monmouthshire, including Usk, Monmouth, Abergavenny and Chepstow. I regularly travel across South Wales and the surrounding areas to film weddings.
A little about me...
To be honest, I had no idea wedding videography was even a thing until a friend mentioned it! I've always loved cinema, so discovering the opportunity to create cinematic, documentary-style wedding films was a huge lightbulb moment.
I'm getting married in 2027 myself, so I'm currently going through wedding planning myself (though, to be honest, it's my fiancée Rose who's doing all the heavy lifting!)

I've been fortunate to film weddings at some beautiful venues across the region, including Cefn Tilla Court near Usk. Set within the Monmouthshire countryside, it's the kind of setting that provides a beautiful backdrop while still allowing the focus to remain on the people and moments that make the day special.
I've also filmed weddings across the wider Gloucestershire, Cotswolds and South Wales area, from intimate celebrations to larger summer weddings.
Every wedding is different, and that's what makes filming them so enjoyable. I'm interested in the people, the atmosphere and all the little moments that make your day unmistakably yours.

It's not lost on me what a beautiful place Monmouthshire is to film a wedding. I've been fortunate enough to capture weddings at some incredible venues in the area, including:
Set in the Monmouthshire countryside near Usk, Cefn Tilla Court is a particularly special setting for a wedding film. The historic house, surrounding grounds and beautiful countryside provide a wonderful backdrop, while the character of the venue gives each wedding its own atmosphere.
What makes filming in Monmouthshire so enjoyable is the variety of settings - from historic country houses and estates to beautiful countryside, woodland and riverside locations. There's a real sense of place here, which works beautifully on film.
Combined with the amazing couples I get to work with, the result is wedding films filled with genuine atmosphere, emotion and unforgettable moments.

I film using professional but low-profile equipment, which allows me to blend into the day without becoming a distraction. Most couples tell me they barely noticed the cameras were there.

One minute Teaser - £100
A 60-second vertical reel - perfect for sharing on socials. Delivery within 7 days.
Heirloom Edit - £150
This is a 60 - 90 minute ‘film’ of your entire day. All the raw footage is layed out on a timeline and sent to you as if it were a film. This footage is not edited and includes the original audio.
Extended coverage - £75 per hour
Want me to stay a little longer to capture the celebrations into the evening? No problem. Additional hours can be added to cover fireworks, sparkler exits, extra dance floor footage, or any other late-night moments you’d like captured.
Mini Guest Interviews - £100
This is a new add-on which holds a lot of value! Imagine capturing your loved one’s voices - their laughter, stories and perhaps even tears!

It's best to book 6-12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding seasons. This ensures availability and allows me to book travel with less friction.

Monmouthshire has some fantastic wedding venues, from historic country houses and estates to beautiful barns and countryside settings. I've had the pleasure of filming at Cefn Tilla Court near Usk, with its historic house, beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside. Usk, Monmouth, Abergavenny and Chepstow also offer a variety of wonderful wedding settings.

I cover weddings up to around 2 hours from my base in Stroud, Gloucestershire. After that, I usually require a hotel stay to minimise the risk of either getting stuck in traffic, or driving tired.

I usually arrive 2-3 hours before the ceremony to capture lots of the getting ready bits. I'll then stick around after your first dance for that first wave of dancing, before leaving you to enjoy your party!

Absolutely! I love using drone footage to showcase the beauty of your wedding location. As long as conditions allow - both legally and weather-wise. I’ll always aim to include stunning aerial shots to add an extra touch to your wedding film.

I have a strong emphasis on story-telling in my films, so I thread the ceremony and speeches throughout, including bits in the background of the film to tell the story of you and your day. See my portfolio for some examples.

After the initial deposit, the remaining balance is due 1 month before the big day.
